Irrigation Borehole, St Andrews

A research-driven programme by British Geological Survey (BGS) and partners, drilling boreholes into old mine workings beneath Glasgow to explore mine-water as a geothermal/heat resource.

Borehole Rehabilitation & New Supply at Bairds Malt

At Bairds Malt’s Scottish site, a new groundwater supply borehole was installed and an existing borehole rehabilitated.

Glenlatterach Remote Community Water Supply, Moray

In a remote area near Glenlatterach (10 km south of Elgin) a project to restore water supply for ~5,000 properties via directional borehole drilling under the River Lossie and through challenging terrain.

Domestic boreholes, Isle of Arran

Successful boreholes commissioned for private/domestic use to provide private water supply for homes on the island. The drilling rig achieved the required depth (one over 150m) for domestic supply.
